The Ncam Game Mode implements a set of features which enhances the overall work flow of the virtual production project. An Ncam Game Mode can be set in the World Settings configuration of the Unreal Project by using the drop-down menu GameMode Override, as shown in the image below.

We introduce 2 versions of Ncam Game Mode, each for the corresponding version of Ncam AR Suite plugin. Both Ncam Game Modes are further explained below.

The Ncam Game Mode Lite is a basic but essential Game Mode implemented in C++. It's purpose is to automatically start the streaming of the Output Texture from the Composite Pipeline to the SDI video according to how the Workflow Wizard was configured.

Ncam Game Mode Suite BP

Owners of the Ncam AR Suite version of our Ncam AR Plugin will have access to the NcamGameModeSuiteBP, which is a Blueprint Game Mode.

The NcamGameModeSuiteBP comes with all the functionalities of NcamGameModeLite and extends these further adding a set of useful features that allow different Display Modes to be selected and displayed on the Unreal Viewport using a HUD.

For example by using the NcamGameModeSuiteBP it is possible to display the Dirty (Composite) Feed within the Unreal Viewport whilst also showing a Clean Feed visualization. The example image below has been rendered with Ncam AR Suite version of our Plugin.
