## SDI Media Not Timecode Synchronised

**Affects**: UE 5.3

**Status**: Workaround available

**Description**:

After creating a media profile, the resulting media input uses "platform" and not "Timecode" synchronisation

**Solution:**

After creating the media profile, ensure that the following settings are configured in the Synchronisation dropdown of the media source

Just in time Rendering - OFF

Sample Evaluation Type - TIMECODE

Time Synchronisation - ON

## White SDI Input signal

**Affects:** UE 5.2

**Status:** Workaround available

**Description:**

After correctly configuring the media input in the project, the video input, when viewed through composure can appear white

**Solution:**

This can be resolved by **disabling **the "enable new style output" checkbox in the "**T\_Video\_BC**" asset

## White halo around hair when using hold-outs and ray tracing

**Affects:** UE4.26+

**Status:** Workaround available

A white halo artefact presents itself around hair when using ray tracing and hold-outs with the Ncam AR Suite virtual overlay compositing pipeline. Specifically, the issue occurs when the hair is in front of any hold out that has an unlit surface material. As the NcSkyHoldout mesh that is supplied as part of the plug-in's content uses the unlit NcShadowHoldOutUnlit material the issue will present itself when hair is rendered in front of it.

**Solution:**

The workaround to the issue is to change the material type of any hold-out that might be rendered behind hair from "unlit" to "default lit". The easiest way to do this is to change the material to be the "NcShadowHoldOut" which is a "default lit" surface material. This is illustrated in the image below:
