Compositing: Legacy Composure ...

Step 6 - Add a Camera Actor

3min

Note that this workflow is not compatible with a CineCameraActor. A CameraActor must be used.

Note that Workflow Wizard should be run before adding a camera. If it is run afterwards then the camera should be removed and added again.

Before a "Legacy" Composure compositing stack can be built a CameraActor first needs to be added to the scene. Do this by locating it within the "Place Actors" panel and drag-dropping into the level.

Once the camera has been created it needs to be able to receive the tracking data from Ncam Reality which is made available through LiveLink. To do this, select the newly created camera, click "Add" to add a new component and create a Live Link Controller.

Locate the new LiveLinkComponentController within the Camera Actor's list of components and set it's "Subject Representation" to "NcamCamera". The NcamCamera LiveLink subject streams all of the camera tracking data required to move the camera in addition to a UV distortion map. The BP_NcamDistortionMap composure media plate layer uses this distortion map during the compositing step to correctly distort the CG. Ensure that the Subject Representation's "Role" is also set to "LiveLinkCameraRole" and that the Camera Role is set to "Ncam Live Link Camera Controller". This is illustrated in the image below:
