Step 4 - Source Synchronization
5min
data synchronization is achieved using the time data monitor before continuing, we recommend that you read epic's documentation about it first https //docs unrealengine com/5 0/en us/timed data monitor in unreal engine/ https //docs unrealengine com/5 0/en us/timed data monitor in unreal engine/ depending on your choice with workflow wizard you have two options to synchronize data with or without timecode synchronization using timecode is preferred if the input video has an embedded timecode but is not required synchronization with timecode when synchronizing with timecode the wizard will have created both the timecode provider and genlock inside the media profile you see both video and ncam data sources set to be evaluated using timecode in order to synchronize all the sources you need to click the calibrate button if it fails, look at the timing diagram as you might have to adjust the size or the buffers or the global tc offset (usually between 0 and 2) before it will succeed once you receive error message "the input 'ncamsdk' has at least one channel that does not data buffered ", you need to disable toggle of ncammarkers if either genlock or timecodeprovider doesn't seem to have the correct configuration you should check the mediaprofile if you cannot see the video input check step 3 add media bundles docid\ loebmyzp8 nepiwdgizce synchronization without timecode when synchronizing without timecode you should get something similar but this time the sources are set to synchronize using the platform time when using this method of synchronization note that the green "synchronized" icon only indicates that the data is synchronized with the platform time you will have to adjust the time correction for the sources until neither the video or the cg lag behind one another when you are happy with the time correction, if you corrected it on the ncam data source you will have to update the livelink preset in order to save it ( open livelink>presets>save as preset, and override the existing preset)
