### Compatibility

Tilta is only supported on the Mk2 platform

### Instructions

Connect the Ncam provided cable to the **UART **port of the Mk2 server or connection box, plug the other end to the **EXT **of the final motor. Alternatively the motor end of the cable can also be connected to either of the **EXT **ports on the handgrips or controller of the Tilta system

Inside the Ncam Reality Preferences select the "**Tilta Nucleus-M**" option from the camera bar tab

:::hint{type="danger"}
Do not plug any of the Tilta provided cables directly into Ncam equipment
:::

### Tilta Configuration

Ncam Reality requires that the Tilta motors and handset are correctly calibrated. Ncam Reality reads the messages between the motors and controller of the Tilta system so if these are not powered Ncam will not be aware of the position of the motors

Further to this Ncam assumes:

- Motor 1 - Focus
- Motor 2 - Iris
- Motor 3 - Zoom

As a daily operational workflow, ensure Ncam Reality is running before powering up the Tilta hand unit.

Alternatively, if this is not possible, or the Ncam server or connection box has been power cycled since, power cycle the tilta hand unit or activate each controller individually
