To enable the use of ray traced shadows and reflections in conjunction with the Ncam AR suite plugin it is required to enable the following command in the UE4 console: r.RayTracing.SceneCaptures 1

This is necessary because the scene captures which are used as part of the Ncam plugin do not have this enabled by default. In addition to using this setting, it is important that Ray tracing has been correctly configured as per Epic's instructions
Ray traced shadows still require the use of a holdout object as per the normal, non ray traced, workflow. The use of holdouts is discussed in the Rendering Features section
