2023 license required
Ncam Reality 2023 requires an updated license. Contact [email protected] prior to updating to ensure a license is available
The following new features and improvements are included with the release of Ncam Reality 2023.1.1
- Improved Marker mode stability
- Complete overhaul of Marker tracking algorithm to make it more robust and stable when dealing with poorly detected markers
- Improved persistence of settings
- System configuration and settings are now more robust to improper shutdowns or powerloss to the Mk2 server
- XD lens data integration improved
- Lens distortion from Zeiss XD lenses is now better utilized
- XD lens data supports older lens firmware - Increases compatibility with lenses in the market
- Ncam Reality can now use Zeiss XD lenses with older versions of firmware (1.7 and earlier) without issue
- Camera Bar to Main can now OPTIONALLY be saved as part of an alignment
- When saving an alignment, the user is able to decide if the camera bar to main values should be stored as part of the alignment. This can be useful in certain situations when using multiple Ncam systems

When running Ncam Reality 2023 for the first time, it will offer to convert the lens and camera database from previous versions of Reality to the new JSON format. It is recommended to do this so that previously calibrated lenses can be used with 2023
This is NON DESTRUCTIVE and the original database will still exist if rolling back to Realty 2022 is required
When converting to JSON, an individual file will be created for every camera and lens that is present in the database. In large databases this can result in a lot of files. All files are stored in the "Desktop>Ncam>Calibrations>JSON" folder of the Ncam server. Unwanted files can be removed from this directory to prevent them from showing in the Reality user interface
The 2023 version of Ncam Reality requires an updated license which is only available to eligible customers, please contact [email protected] or your sales contact to arrange for an updated license.
Without an active license Reality 2023 will operate in "Demo Mode"
