Accessing The Interface
Following the rigging and powering of the Ncam system, the user interface can be reached in the following ways:
If you are working directly on the computer running the Ncam software, you are able to access the user interfaces in the following ways:
Open a web browser and navigate to 127.0.0.1
The Ncam server is configured to run the Reality software automatically, if the software is not running, it can be selected from the application menu
If you are interacting with the Ncam server remotely, then the two interfaces can be reached as follows:
Enter the hostname/IP address of the Ncam server into a web browser from any device that is on the same network. The Ncam server will be shipped with the hostname printed onto it and will be in the format: NcamXXXX, where XXXX is the serial number
Often a modern web browser will try and "search" when entering text into the address bar. To make sure the browser does not do this, enter the hostname in the following way:
http://NcamXXXX.local
Mk2 Hotspot
The Mk2 server by default generates a Wifi Hotspot, this offers a straightforward method to connect a mobile device to the server, the default password is "ncamncam"
Connect to the WebUI as above, then navigate to the Helpers tab, select the Use Full UI option, this will open a VNC connection to the server.
Alternatively 3rd party remote desktop options are available, Anydesk is provided for convenience by default, but Teamviewer and other VNC software can be configured and used at the users discretion
