Hirose 20 Pin Splitter

3min

What's it for?

The 20 pin splitter cable has been made to allow both zoom and focus controllers and an Ncam lens encoding cable to be able to be connected to the two 20 pin Hirose ports on a compatible lens servo.

The splitter box casing has been recently redesigned, newer models utilize a plastic casing but are functionally the same as earlier models

Most lens servo's only feature two 20 pin hirose ports, one of which will provide the required encoder data for Ncam. Therefore in situations where an Ncam lens encoder cable and two zoom/focus demands are connected, a splitter box is required

What can it not do?

The splitter is not designed to pass power. Do not plug a cable into it that is providing power to the lens

It is not designed to allow the sharing of the virtual data from the lens either. That is to say that a second encoder cable can not be connected to it to allow the input of lens data into a separate tracking system
