Zeiss eXtended data

3min

Overview

Zeiss lenses utilising the eXtended data protocol can be used with the Ncam system. As the eXtended protocol is an extension of the Cooke /i protocol the two methods share many similarities and the encoder cable provided by Ncam is interchangeable between the two.

Firmware Requirement

When using 2023.0 versions of Ncam Reality, the Zeiss XD lens must be using at least version 1.7.1. If using Ncam Reality 2023.1 and later, then earlier versions of XD firmware are supported
