A small IR attachment is available with the system, this is to aid tracking when in dark environments or using retro reflective markers.  The unit is optional and can be easily added or removed depending on requirements.

The IR emitter is powered via either the UART or RS 232 port on the Mk2 server or connection box.  Simply plug the emitter into whichever of the two ports is available depending on the method of lens encoding being used.

When the unit is powered, two small red LED lights will be visible.

It's recommended to use the IR emitter whenever the system is being used in conjunction with circular markers.  When using the system in natural tracking mode without markers then the emitter can be removed without issue
